OFFICE JEWELLERY (MALE)

Accessories are meant to complement your outfit, not overwhelm it. It is distracting when jewellery makes noise when they move, and other pieces, such as watches, which should be understated.

Here are do’s and don’ts of office jewellery

Watches – A functional piece of jewelry, watches are as safe as wedding rings and acceptable to wear at all events. The simpler the watch, the dressier it is.  A plain black leather strap and simple silver timepiece with Arabic or Roman numerals is versatile and classic.  Metal watches are fine for suits and sport jackets, while cloth bands and plastic watches should be reserved for casual wear.

Earrings: if you’re working in a corporate firm, you may want to check your dress code before joining the trend. If you do opt to try it, start with a small-sized gauge in solid, dark, neutral colors and make sure to wear it in both ears with the colors matching when you do.

Chain: gold or silver chain that is thin and short is not too lousy and will look cool when paired with a simple t-shirt. And though you can tuck them under your shirt, we suggest keeping necklaces to a minimum or wearing them in more low-key settings.

Ring: With the exception of a wedding band, which should always be worn to represent your commitment, If you’re in a corporate environment, limit yourself to one single-band ring in a sterling silver, a gold, or two-tone color way with a simple design and minimal glitz.

Cufflink: they are designed to hold the cuffs in place, and this piece of jewelry should be worn during fancy occasions. While it may be an extravagant event which requires formal attire, the links are small and come in collection of styles that can express your style and even your personality. Avoid any diamond, studded embellishments in unusual shapes like a skull.

Tie Clip: tie clip is a horizontal clip that slides over the top of the tie and gripsunderneath the shirt to keep your tie from flying all over the place. Given how small this piece of jewellery is, you can play around with your options when styling it.
